This project takes a critical look at how biggest tech companies (Alphabet, Amazon, Facebook, and Apple) will affect social and economic life into the future. Each play a significant role in our increasingly-connected societies. In this context, it’s important to consider what the implications of those trends are, not only from an economic perspective but also in terms of how they may shape policy. It identifies two policy priorities: protecting consumers' privacy and improving cybersecurity.
